We have 2 PC's and a laptop. We want our 2 PC's to have access to the internet, but when we disconnect from one of our PC's we want out laptop to connect. One of our PC's dosen't have any kind of networking card, the ohter had a networking cars, and the laptop has a wireless networking card. Do they ALL have to have wireless networking cards? Also, how do we set it up?
Thanks. How to a share wireless internet connection, changing between 2 of 3 computers?
Yes, they all need wireless networking cards - buy two USB wifi dongles for the PC's and you'll be in business! You'll also need a wireless access point if you don't already have one. The instructions for the access point will tell you how to set it up.How to a share wireless internet connection, changing between 2 of 3 computers?
Well...im lost in your riddle..
Ok, i'll go by your last and first question to sum it up for myself.
Yes, every PC or Laptop needs a wireless network card.
Nowawdays most laptops come with a wireless card built in, but some don't.
You can get an external card from your internet service provider, usually cheaper than the shops.
Once done, your best just to ring them.
Alot easier, as if you get stuck somewhere, there on the phone and were on other side of world..or err..not.
You can have any combination of wired and wireless connections to your wireless router. Assuming there are Ethernet ports on your wireless router.
So you can have one PC wired, and one PC and one laptop wireless. No problem.
All u need is a wireless router having two ethernet port so that you can connect it to two computers and as it is a router then the laptop can detect the wireless, and three of the computer will get internet
