How do i turn on a wireless networking device?

I have got an xbox 360 and i just recently got a wireless adapter.So i connect it to the xbox USB in the back as directed and the light stays red.And when i test connection it says that i have lost wireless network..And all the other tests it goes through pass.So every thing i read says to turn on a wireless networking device and then try.So could i just open the internet up on my computer?PLEASE HELP!How do i turn on a wireless networking device?

As per the Microsoft Website (link below) the Steady Red Light means:



The adapter is ready to be connected to a wireless network.

I would advice you to check if you have enabled any security on your Wireless Router due to which you are facing issues to connect.



In case this is not so, it may be possible that your adapter is faulty and may need to be replaced by the seller.



Update in case of any queries related to checking the router settings.
