How do I get my laptop enabled for wireless broadband?

I bought a wireless router for wireless connection to my laptop. The desktop PC is connected to the router with ethernet cable and works fine.

Is there something else I need to buy or do to make the laptop enabled for wireless broadband? How do I get my laptop enabled for wireless broadband?
turn on the wireless card on your laptop, its either a button or a slide switch, it might be named wi-fi or wlan.

Right click on the network icon on the taskbar, its an icon of monitor %26gt; show all networks %26gt; click on your router %26gt; connectHow do I get my laptop enabled for wireless broadband?
You need to have a wireless card for your laptop. If you don't know if you have one, call your laptop maker and ask them. (Dell, toshiba, gateway, etc...)

You can also check the device manager tool on your computer if it's using windows. It might show a wireless card. Go to the control panel, then system and click around the tabs until you find device manager.
Depends on your laptop, If you laptop has a wireless receiver built in all you have to do is link it up to your router (wirelessly). if it doesn't have built in wireless receiver you can buy a card or dongle to plug into your laptop for a wireless connection.
